The Bank was established on 9th March1977 with its head office at sattur a semi urban center in virudhunagar district in
Tamil Nadu.It is sponsored by Indian overseas bank and has been catering mainly to the needs of the rural clientele.
The head office of the bank was shifted to viruthunagar the district head quarters on 16.07.1993 Head office is functioning
in its own building
